Quite often when choosing a gift book, we stand for what seems like hours in the store holding one book after the other wondering if this is the book they would like. I would like to recommend Making Memories as one of those classic Christian Children's books everyone would enjoy.
In its hardcover version of large format we find the most incredibly beautiful illustrations I have seen in years. Cheri Bladholm's work is an integral part of what makes this book a must have. The other is family. Remembering our families, cherishing their memories and passing these on to the next generation remains a common thread in any household.
This book is about cherishing and valuing the special memories families make together. A simple story about a young boy visiting his grandfather and asking one of those child like questions that leave adults with gaping mouths. Grandpa... how do you make memories? This question starts the imaginary adventure that would be remembered a lifetime.
This book celebrates life and the miracle of it in its tiniest details.
What I really appreciated about the packaging was the fact that it came with a mini softcover book called Making My Own Memories. This fill in the blanks little book is a quick guide to jotting all those family details down as they happen.
I think this book would make a sure to please gift for babies through to teenagers. A grandparent might even include a prefilled page of their own memories, signed and ready for preserving.
